Christmas Owls …

| Blog, Trimcraft

I know, I know it is far too early to be mentioning the “C” word but here in craft land I have been working on Christmas commissions since May and it will probably continue long into November!  I would love to know when do you start your Christmas cards?

I also have some exciting news to share … This week I am adding a tutorial section to my website.  Here you will be able to go and download project sheets of your favourite  projects!  Each sheet will have a materials list and step by step instructions.

This week I have been playing with the new range from Trimcaft called winter Woodland, it is full of cute critters and snow filled tree’s!

I have made a cute card with an oval aperture which houses the decoupage owls.

As you can see from the close up it is adhered together using 3D foam pads to create interest.

For instructions and product list you can download the PDF project sheet here.

That’s all from me today.  Have a lovely day whatever you are doing.

Happy Crafting!

Quick Summer Makes

| Blog, Trimcraft

Hello there…

It has been a busy few weeks, mainly working on Christmas magazine commissions.  Can you believe it is only July and I am fed up with Christmas already?!  So today I decided to give myself a breath of fresh air and work on some lovely, colourful summer makes and what better collection to use than the Forget Me Not collection from Trimcraft.  It is so floral and summery.

I knew weeks ago as soon as I saw the decoupage kit that it was perfect for a lemonade bottle.  Filled with pink lemonade who could resist this cute summer drink?

These would be perfect for a summer party or BBQ.  In fact it is on my list of things to do this summer and as soon as our gorgeous decking is finished I shall be holding a lemonade stand party!

Of course no party is complete without a decorated table, so today I also created this cute decoration.  Made simply by creating large pinwheels from patterned paper and decorating this milk churn it is the perfect display for a summer party table!

These papers are fabulous, and simply by inking the edges with brown distressing ink I have turned them into a shabby chic style.  Very simple yet so effective!

Well, it has been an absolute pleasure crafting for summer but its time to get back in the studio and back to the glitter and snowflakes!

Until next time…

Happy Crafting!
