Hello there …
Do you remember my blog post from last Monday? If you haven’y yet seen it click here. It was showing how well the Bellissima range works with a clean and simple style. Well today I want to show some projects using the range to the full and adding lots of detail to your cards.
These are the cards featured on Create and Craft at the beginning of January and show how to make full use of the kit, by co-ordinating the papers, embellishments and elements.
This card has been made using the patterned papers layered together and a decoupage image placed into the main panel. Ribbon and a bow have been used to add texture and a resin flower has been placed into the corner. The edges have been inked and glitter has been used around the main panel.
This easel card has been made using 2 of the 6 x 6″ cards trimmed down and placed together. The decoupage image is adhered to the top panel and the silk ribbon has been used to add a trim and a bow.
For this card not only have the edges been inked but also distressed to create a vintage look. A few elements have from the Ultimate kit have been added and a ribbon bow has been used to add detail.
It takes some getting used to getting the right balance when using patterned papers as too many patterns and the card gets lost. The easiest rule to follow is use a layer of paper with little detail mixed with a more detailed paper. This way they compliment each other without being too over powering.
As always if you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
