Roald Dahl Wreath

| Blog

When I see these Roald Dahl papers they bring back such happy memories.  As a child I loved his books, I would read them over and over again.  Now my second daughter Alice who loves reading does exactly the same thing.

I don’t know how or why but sometimes when I see a collection of papers I know exactly what I want to make, it sounds a bit silly but I actually wake up in the night with ideas!  No wonder I am still tired in the morning!

So, back to the project!  When I saw these bright, vibrant papers I knew I wanted to make a wreath, and one that shows off the detail in the paper.  I am going to try and get a tutorial up for this over the next couple of weeks but it is basically lots of papers cut into strips and trimmed to pennant shapes. The centre detail has been added by using the Roald Dahl Decoupage Kit.

My daughter has already claimed this for her room, along with an order for more coordinating goodies!  Looks like I might be a busy bee! Now I just need to decide which Roald Dahl book to start with.

Have a great day and happy crafting!
