Starting with Sizzix!

| Blog, Sizzix

Last week I travelled to Sizzix HQ to meet with their wonderful team and designers.  I am pleased to say that I am now going to be doing some demonstrations for Sizzix and from the end of the month I will be guest presenter for them on some of their Create and Craft shows.

My first demonstration is tomorrow at Cadbury Garden Centre in Somerset.  I have been working on creating some demo samples this week using the new starter kit and various other dies.

Here is a little peak at some of a project I have been creating…

Sizzix Demo #1

I cannot believe the materials that the wonderful Bigz Dies will cut through!  Here I have created a decorated box frame.  The Butterfly #4 Bigz Die inside is cut from a thick cork and I have to say it really did cut through it so easily and smoothly.  I then decorated the butterfly with seed beads and some die cut hearts from the starter kit.  I have added the antenna by threading small beads onto wire and adhering them behind the butterfly. The flowers were cut using the Brenda Walton Summer Florals Decorative Strip Die and then layered.

All the papers were from My Minds Eye, which are fabulous for creating a bright and cheerful project.

Well, I am off to finish packing for tomorrow but if you are in the area I would love to see you.  I will be there from 10am until pm sharing lots of hints and tips for getting the most from your Sizzix Big Shot.

Whatever you are doing this weekend  – Have a good one!
