Do Crafts Creativity Article – September 2013

| Blog, Do Crafts

As many of you know I often design for Docrafts Creativity Magazine. This months see’s the launch of the September issue and it is jam packed full of amazing projects from my fellow crafters.

I was asked for this issue to create a shadow puppet theatre using the new collection from Papermania called 12 Days Of Christmas which will be in the shops from today.

It is a beautiful collection and will prove really popular this Christmas.

The 12 x 12″ and 6 x 6″ Paper packs oozes Red, Gold and Pistachio colour palette and the 8 x 8″ Decoupage Medley and Mini Decoupage Medley allow for mix and match options when adding dimension to cards. The novel 8 x 8″ pop up cards and 6 x 6″ Easel Decoupage kit offer a twist on the typical Christmas greetings card. Both cards create a 3D effect in an instant and can be embellished for extra Christmas sparkle. If you are a fan of stamping the 8 x 8″ and 6 x 6″ filagree cards and envelopes will provide the perfect blank canvas ready to personalise.

Along with the puppet theatre I also made some cards and gorgeous wrapping paper.

Here is a little sneak peak of the article but to view the whole thing you will need to look in the latest Creativity Magazine.

This is possibly the trickiest project I have ever made, although I have to say I am rather pleased with the end result!!

I am loving this! I am definitely going to make some decorations on sticks out of these dies for Christmas! (Might not be quite so tricky as yours though!)
