Masterpiece Monday – Creating With Chronology

On Saturday I demonstrated the latest Do Crafts products at Chaplins in Plymouth. I have now uploaded the projects that I designed here for anyone that would like the full product list or full instructions. It is made using the new Chronology range which uses the most fabulous, vibrant colours.

The Steps

Step 1
Cut a piece of A4 Cream Cardstock so it measures 28cm on the long side. Then score it at 7cm and 21cm.

Step 1 - Creating with Chronology

Step 2
Cut 4 pieces of Black Cardstock 6.5cm x 20cm. Mat and layer 2 with Green Patterned Paper and 2 with Orange Patterned Paper.

Step 3
Cut a piece of Black Cardstock 13.5cm x 20.5cm and layer Purple Patterned Paper on top.

Step 4
Adhere the purple piece to the inside, middle section of the card, and the 2 Green sections on either side.

Adhere the 2 Orange strips to both sides of the card front.

Step 6
Cut a piece of Black Cardstock 11.5cm x 5cm and mat Green Patterned Paper on top. Die-cut the word Dad from Black Cardstock and stick to the Green Paper centrally.

Step 6 - Creating with Chronology

Step 7
Trim a piece of Black Cardstock 17.5cm x 6.5cm and adhere Orange Patterned Paper to the top. Stamp The image into Cream Cardstock.

Attach the Stamped Image, the Orange strip and the Dad sentiment to the inside of the card.

Step 9
Cut a piece of Black Cardstock 11.5cm x 7.5cm and mat Purple Patterned Paper on top. Add a Green Oval die-cut an the Birthday Greetings Sentiment. Adhere this to the front of the card.

Step 10
Die-cut a medium sized flower from Black Cardstock and a smaller one from Green Patterned Paper. Screw these into a ball and unfold. Ink around the edges.

Step 11
Piece the flowers together and add a cog to the top of the flower using a brad. Adhere to the front of the card.

Step 12
Stamp the image onto Cream Cardstock and using the second to smallest flower die cut 2 flowers from the stamped card, ink around the edges with Green and Orange Artist Pens.

Step 13
Add a brad through the centre of the flowers and adhere to the sides of the Dad sentiment.

    These are awesome Katie, I was looking at this stuff in The Range the other night, but couldn’t make up my mind…I think you’ve just made it up for me!

    I got the 4 day deal and there was some chronology in with them! OMG I love them and have made a card with them and will be on my blog tomorrow. Great card and fabulous tutorial too.
